Bible Question (short): Christian Nurture? |
Question (full): Hobbs: Thanks for your response, this is not an easy question to answer. Children develope differently even though they may be the same age. The developement of cognitive and abstract thinking are age issues that enter into relating salvation to children. There are several Christian writers who have attempted to show how Christians develope into maturity. James W Fowler has written two excellent books, FAITH DEVELOPEMENT and STAGES OF FAITH. There is a suggestion that children are nutured into salvation. Being so nurtured in the Lord and Scripture are such a part of their developement they grow into salvation, knowing what sin is and who Jesus was and is. This has some valid ideas and is worthy of further consideration. What are your thoughts? Blessings. Justme |
