Subject: Please explain the Trinity. |
Bible Note: Truthstudent: In truth, I'd rather doubt that children would find the doctrine of the Trinity any more baffling or inexplainable than adults do! I've taught a variety of age groups for years and it's been my experience that children's minds are frequently keener (and more open) than many adult minds. Children appreciate honesty. I think it better to say to a child, "Look, I can't explain the Trinity, I don't fully understand it and don't believe anyone does. But God's word teaches it and I believe it." The minds of little folk are so retentive. They will remember the egg analogy and grow into adulthood and there find the analogy faulty. Isn't it better to be frank and honest with children (of all ages) and admit that we don't have all the answers either? --Hank |
