Bible Note: Dear AO, Context is extremely important. Matthew 6:33 is Christ speaking of anxiety over the need for food, drink, and clothing (see verse 31). Luke 11:9 is a passage in which Christ is discussing prayer (see verse 1). Both passages are instructions to believers in how to live in dependence on Divine Providence. They do not have anything to do with salvation. The soteriological doctrine you are describing is called "decisional regeneration."
