Bible Note: Scripture ... Matthew 5:17-18 ... kalos, there are two tills in this verse. his first is "till heaven and earth pass away" ... the second is "until all is fulfilled." This means both need to occur for the Law to have one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from it. Ginomai is the word for fulfilled, which is not the same as the word (pleroo) in verse 17. This verse does not say He fulfilled the Law. I see John MacArthur agreeing with me. He does not say "the law was fulfilled in Christ." Searcher |
