Bible Note: Dear Brother WOS, I hadn't read anything disrespectful in your posts. Even if I had, I'm certainly not one deserving of respect! I'm a deeply flawed human being who calls upon God's mercy daily. If God had not Sovereignly seen to my salvation, I'm the kind of person you would have crossed to the other side of the street to avoid. I thoroughly agree with your posts on "taking up our cross." I've always found it interesting that Christ used this idiom well before He carried His own cross. Of course, God has a way of doing that sort of thing... setting up an idiom well before He gives us the most vivid and excruciating demonstration of it. In Him, Doc |
