Bible Question: well that's the scripture i quoted in my original question. i simply want to know WHY it's forgivable to blaspheme against god and the son but NOT the holy spirit, and i'm not trying to be difficult, i promise, i just really want to know, and i've asked several people in my church and none of them have given me a satisfactory answer, so if anyone can help me out on this i'd be very grateful. |
Bible Answer: Consider this: Someone who sins against God, but repents, is forgiven. In fact, is not all sin against God? If a person sins against the H. S. they are rejecting the teaching, or instructions, from God, and by implication, are practising these deeds. As long as a person continues to reject the word of God, they have no salvation. So the issue is whether the sinner feels remorse to repent or not. If they commit sin with disregard of God's master plan (as provided by the H. S.)then they will be eternally unclean. AO |
