Bible Note: I agree to your points 1-4 as stated. However on point 5 Sola Scriptura itself goes beyond the boundary since the concept of Sola Scriptura is foreign to scripture. The anything granted to us by the wonderful saints later, as you titled it, I believe can be more than just shedding of light on the word of God. Although I do concede that they must stay within the boundaries previously established by scripture. In many instances they are addressing the very questions that have naturally arisen from the reading of scripture and have been summarily discarded as not being Sola Scriptura. Replaced instead with man’s attempt to provide answers conceived in his knowledge, wisdom and logic and often with a bias. Sola Scriptura is an excellent case in point. |
