Bible Note: Daniq Please read post #233234 by Beja. What I'm talking about is the similar to the regulative principal ( which is most commonly applied to worship) where anything that isn't mentioned in scripture is prohibited. That same concept is known as Sola Scriptura when used in regards to all aspects of church. I’m not denigrating scripture nor am I trying to elevate a particular form in which it was delivered in any way. What I’m saying is many of the most troubling questions we have in the church were often addressed by early church fathers, people that literally were taught by the apostles but we do not accept their views because they were never recorded in anything that was accepted as canon. |
