Bible Note: To: BradK: "How did you come to your conclusion?" I have developed a "Majority Rule Method" for translating the Bible. The KJV translators loved to invent new words. They translated many Hebrew words with over 25 definitions. See: "dabar" - Heb. You and I would be unable to communicate like that. Every time you used a 25 definition word I would have to stop you and ask, "Which definition are you using?" In the same manner, every time I used a 25 definition word, you would have to stop me. Consider these examples: 1) madness - 8 Xs; in Ecclesiastes only (HLLWH; final "H" means "of her" - Strong's #1947; praise - (LLH) - 110 Xs; Strong's #1984. We ignore the removable "Waw" (W). 2) "years" - Eccl 12.1 - 2 Xs; Strong's #8147; "two" - 506 Xs. Note: refers to "two tablets of the law." 3) "youth" - Eccl 12.1 - 2 Xs; Strong's #979; "choosing of you" - 127 Xs. And so, I believe in Majority Rule; with a few exceptions. Thank you for your comment. sid |
