Bible Question:
Hi everyone This is my second post to this forum and it my be my last. Like most new Christians, I have a ton of questions, like; can God restore my marriage, healing, how to forgive others, etc. But I have read some of the other threads on this forum and I'm afraid of getting conflicting answers! One believes one way and one the other way. Are you folks for real? There is only one God! Doesn't anyone believe He can give an right answer? |
Bible Answer: Hi, inmyheart! I hope you have followed the cascade your post created. In your search for God do not limit God by the people you find in your path. There are X number of religious sects (divisions and subdivisions): some want to baptize at birth; some want to baptize at man/womanhood; some want to baptize at age 30... some want to sprinkle; some want to semi-submerge; some want to fully submerge... some want you to speak in tongues; some want you to let your infants play with vipers; some want you to cure all ailments... As you pointed out there is only one God! And there's only one Way to God! But Jesus warned that there would be division: "I did not come to bring the peace..." "two in a bed--one taken..." Stay in this Forum or search out another source, just don't leave God out of your equation! Search the Scriptures agains any and all answers/comments that you receive! God Bless! P.S.: I have attached my post on your cascade: Subject: People want answers! Note: Indi, hi! Though it may seem that "I have no life" I came to this Forum searching for eBibles and dictionaries (hopefully I'll find some free or low cost that can assist me in my relegious endeavor). At first sight I thought I was in the wrong place: disrespect; name calling; oral assaults, gangs... My nearly 1st and last question was preceeded by a statement that expressed such concern. I was greeted by several members (one post included what I considered a hidden assault) yet I decided to stay. If this were an "expert" forum I would not be here! From early life I have learned that feeding answers to people does not equate to true teaching/learning, with the exception of Jesus Christ who by His Divine Will connected with the spirit of those he sought out. But the most forceful He ever got was: "those who have eyes; those who have ears..." "You can't do serious Bible study by asking questions and passively accepting the answers." Why doesn't every body see this? Children do not learn from their parents' tight reign and total dictatorship; they learn from their parents' vigilance, assistance and guidance! Believing in Christ Jesus requires an individual undertaking: "those who do not hate their... cannot be my disciples." Further, the only true way that there could be a clinically synchronized forum is if the "expert" are members of a single denominational congregation or if they condescend to one another: there's a phrase for that: political correctness (a misnomer attested by our recent and not so recent history). Again I quote you: "I commend the Lockman Foundation for having the courage and the faith to make this forum available. You folks are asking for a different web site with a different purpose." God Bless! |
