Subject: Can unbelievers pray to God? |
Bible Note: Yes, God heard Cain's prayer, but this was in a different dispensation (Conscience). He wasn't dealing with man the same way He's dealing with us. The question was "Can unbelievers pray to God (not the prayer of Salvation) and have their prayers answered?" The answer is found in Scripture concerning the dispensation when Salvation is offered - now. There's no excuse (Romans 1:20) for a soul not to accept Salvation. This doesn't mean that God doesn't have compassion for the unbelievers, as He only knows what it takes to win a soul - but they have their choice as to what they want to believe. Although, God is merciful, He is also just. He turned His ear away from His own until they turned from their wicked ways (2 Chronicles 7:14). I'd have to stick with Scripture on this one. "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil." 1 Peter 3:12 WalkingTalkingBible |
