Subject: WHO DID CHRIST DIE FOR ?????? |
Bible Note: Greetings Humpy! The problem is that from your theological perspective, any verse which says that God loves everyone or died for everyone will ALWAYS REALLY mean something else, while any verse you agree with will ALWAYS MEAN exactly what it says. :-) We have had these debates many times on the forum. Consider the examples you cited in your previous post. John 3:16 can't really mean that God loves everyone, but Rom. 9:13 can mean that God hates someone. Who decides which one really means what it says? I would argue that Rom. 9:13 is a quote from Mal. 1:2-5 and speaks of God's choice to bring the nation of Israel through Jacob rather than Esau, but doesn't mean that God personally hated Esau.
