Subject: 18 Book of Revelation |
Bible Note: Thanks for your input. I have taken the time to look up the scripture that you gave. Col 2:16,17 talk about special sabbaths. 1 Chr 23:31 about sacrifices and new moons. 2 Chr 2:4 Soloman's temple and the morning and evening sabbaths, new moons and feast days. Eze 45:17 the princes part in making reconciliation for the house of Israel. Hos 2:11 the warning of judgements for idolatry. See 2 Chr 36:21 Israel was disobedent to God so Israel goes to babylon where they don't keep the sabbath, but the land will enjoy her sabbaths. Land doesn't partake in ceramonial rites. Acts 20:7 doesn;t say the church was meeting , it is about Paul going to Macedonia and the disciples cane together to break bread and Paul preaches til midnight. Gal4:10,11 no reference to the sabbath , just days, months, years. Rom 14:5 no sabbath reference talks about judging other people or brother. You say that Sunday is a day that is kept because it is in reverence to the resurection. I can't find anything that supports that either. Mary went to prepare the body of Christ on the first day but he wasn't there. I see that he kept the sabbath even in death being that he slept in the grave on the sabbath and rose on the first day. Gen 2:2,3 God blessed the seventh day and he rested from the work of creation. Lev 19:30 keep my sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary. Ex 16:23-30 no manna fell on the sabbath, collect a double portion on the sixth day and no mam go out on the seventh. Ex 20:10 sabbath commandment written on tables of stone with the finger of God in the middle of the list written slightly differently starting with the word REMEMBER and making reference to the time of creation which is the first sabbath where the Lord rested from his work and blessed it and hallowed it. Mt12:1-12 Christ and disciples kept the sabbath. Mt 28:1 Sabbath kept after His death. Mk2:27,28 sabbath made for man.Christ is Lord of the sabbath. Mt3:4 what is lawful to do on the sabbath. Also see Lk6:5,9. Jn9:16 Pharisees accuse Christ of breaking the sabbath, how can he do miricles? Acts 13:14,27,42,44 Paul the teacher to the Gentiles teaches in Antioch on the sabbath. Acts15:21-24 Moses read on the sabbath. Gentiles do not have to be circumcised. Acts17:2 Paul preaches three sabbaths in Thessalonica. Acts18:4 Paul preaches in Corinth every sabbath. Ceramonial laws are in Lev and were written for the Levites as separate from the Royal law or the commandments. Jas2:10-12 Lk23:54-56. Jn 14:15 If you lovr Me keep My commandments. Jn 15:10 keep my commandments ...abide in My love as I kept My Fathers commandments and I abide in His love. 1Jn2:3,4 we know him if we keep his commandments, he that says he knows him and keeps not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. 1Jn3:22,24 keep His commandments. Rev14:7 worship He who created the Heavens and the Earth and the fountains of water. This on sounds alot like the fourth commandment to me. Rev14:12 here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Rev22:14 blessed are they that do his commandments... We can't take out a commandment just because we want to. We don't have the arthority to do it. Jesus said not one jot or one title will in no way pass from the law till all is forfilled. Mt5:18 Seeing that Christ has yet to come the second time all has not been forfilled. Different churches teach different things on a number of subjects, the ten commandments being one or actually a few of them. Also the commandment to not make images and worship them yet how often do you see pictures of a so called Christ who has been made in the likeness of men of every race. Things like this is why there are so many different churches. I don't like what you teach so I'll find a church that will teach what I want to hear and if I can't find one I'll start my own. So here we have a vast difference of doctrine. We must walk in the light that shines on our path and Christ knows our hearts. In him can we trust. Thanks again for your response. I've got several other notes to respond to so if you write back it may take me a few days to get back to you. My husband is getting a little upset over the time I am spending on the computer.
