Subject: If we ask for healing does God answer no |
Bible Note: Dear Mitch, Exodus 23:25 -- This is a promise to the children of Israel Psalm 107:20 -- This is spiritual healing, check the meaning of the word "destructions" Psalm 118:17 -- This verse (and Psalm) has nothing to do with sickness Proverbs 3:7-8 -- This is also about turning from sin, and consequently not being subject to the ills that accompany such sin Proverbs 4:20-22 -- Again, this is not about God healing, but about the deleterious effects of sin, and the benefits that accrue by eschewing them Matthew 8;16-17 -- Yes, Jesus healed people in His earthly ministry, and this was a sign that He was Messiah 1 Peter 2:24 -- Christ's atonement brought spiritual healing to those who believe on Him (this has already been discussed) 3 John 2 -- A greeting for health and prosperity for his readers Your second to last paragraph is non sequitur. It also contains a false dichotomy. In addition it puts words into the mouths of those who disagree with you. Please try to show greater kindness and respect to your fellow forum members, as befitting those for whom Christ died. None of your Scriptures prove, let alone state, your conclusion that "God's will is healing for all." In addition, you continue to equate -- or at least treat as interchangeable -- spiritual healing and physical healing, which you have not yet successfully established as being Scriptural.
