Subject: If we ask for healing does God answer no |
Bible Note: Dear Mitch, If the Gospel is about physical healing, then it is an utter failure, since, ultimately, everyone dies. God will, indeed, restore all that was lost in the fall, but much of that restoration will be after glorification. While it is true that all healing, of any sort, comes from the Lord; I would challange the statement that "it is God's will to heal everyone." Since not all believers are healed, your statement implies that God is impotent to accomplish His will. I can show you a number of places where God actually sends physical maladies to accomplish His will (both in the Old and New Testaments). The purpose of the cross was for justification. We were not in error, simply needing a teacher. We were not sick, simply needing a doctor. We were dead, needing a Savior. In the light of the spiritual efficacy of the cross, physical healing is of very little consequence. In Him, Doc |
