Subject: Hebrews 6:6 explained |
Bible Note: Hi Joe, I don't want to get between you and Tim because I might get hurt but I sure enjoy the tough man bouts. In my estimation the answer to your little play on words is as follows. 1.All the sins of all men. 2.All the sins of some men, or 3.Some of the sins of all men. Christ died for the sins of the world, plural, but he didn't die for the sin of the world, singular. The sin of the world is the rejection of Christ and that is what the Holy Spirit works on. John 16:8-9 (KJV) And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9Of sin, because they believe not on me; This is not to be confused with the sin of Adam, but the sin of the world, which is the rejection of God's only Son. OK now you two can go back at it, CDBJ |
