AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Chronicles 7:14 and My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear [them] from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land. |
Subject: Question of Context? |
Bible Note: John, You didn't read what Tim said ... Tim said "This promise was addressed to Solomon about Israel in a specific time and circumstance." He did not say "Therefore we are incorrect to conclude that 1Ch 7:14 pertains solely to Old Testament saints whether Jew or Gentile." I'm still waiting for you to answer my questions. Is the promise to Abram in Gen 12:5 and that in Mark 16:16-18 apply to all Christians? Once again, not all promises apply to everyone. Where is your Biblical support that Naaman the Syrian, Nebuchadnezzar the Babylonian and the Phoenician widow of Zarephath, were called by His name? I want it for all three. Steve |
