Bible Question: Do you believe in being chosen? |
Bible Answer: Bruce, The Bible speaks of being chosen by God so Christians must believe in being chosen. God also uses in Scripture the imagery of marriage to illustrate His relationship with his chosen ones. In a marriage the choosing is mutual. If we are chosen, we do not marry unless we consent and choose to marry. God chooses us and we hopefully respond in kind to His love and choose Him also. Some lovers are rejected by those they love and have chosen. Is it in the true nature of Love to force itself on another? Emmaus |
