AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 2:9 And [in that garden] the LORD God caused to grow from the ground every tree that is desirable and pleasing to the sight and good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the [experiential] knowledge (recognition) of [the difference between] good and evil. Subject: Freewill before the fall? |
Bible Note: I respectfully disagree that the lost person does not have free will. God graciously gives each of us the opportunity to choose Him. (Notice that Jesus asks the cripple in John 5:6 - "Do you want to get well?") Indeed, we too have a choice to accept or reject the love of God in Christ which reconciles sinners and restores that which was lost. But imo, free will was NOT lost at the fall of man.
