487 | Show Respect to Almighty God | 1 Cor 13:1 | lionheart | 142033
Dear sister, I hear you loud and clear. We need to keep each other sharp, I can agree with you on that. But we gotta have a 1 Cor 13 heart and show our brothers and sisters a little mercy and compassion. God only knows he's shown me more than I deserve. My spelling at oft times can leave much to be desired. I'm learning. Jesus called the pharisee's out because they had ignored the important things. They were being religious and not acting out of a heart for God. Do we call each other higher? Absolutely.Look at the heart behind things though. When we dont we miss the whole ball of wax. God wants to bless us,but we need to ensure that our hearts are where they aught to be. Your brother in Christ, lionheart |

488 | is masterbation bad | 1 Cor 10:13 | lionheart | 141909
1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man;and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of ecape also, that you may be able to endure it.It took a lot of courage to do what you just did. When one gets open about where they are at God can begin to work. God will provide a way out for you. 1Jn 1:9 God is faithful he will forgive you. Ja 5:16 Being open about our sin is vital. You've taken a big step. Draw on Gods strength. Phil 4:13 He is your strength, never forget it. Get in there with your pastor or someone you know who you can confide in who's close to God. Spend lots of time in prayer.Allow God to work in your heart and you will have victory over this. You will be in my prayers. Your brother in Christ, lionheart |

489 | The Red Writing | Rev 1:1 | lionheart | 141869
Hello brother,if it's sister no insult intended. I will presume you are refering to the verses that are printed in red in the Gospels. If not please set me straight. Back when I was a kid we had no red letter addition bibles. It was all black letters. It's my impression that when they started printing the red letter edititon bibles it was to identify the words spoke by Jesus. The gospels do teach that we are saved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Revelation 7:13,14 I believe while it speaks of those who are saved out of the great tribulation,it talks about also the cleansing power of His blood. 1 Jn 1:7,9 When I read these verses I like to think,it keeps on cleansing. What Jesus did was a one time thing. He died for every sin I've ever commmitted and ever will commit. Therfore the phrase it keeps on cleansing. ICor 1:18 tells us that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are saved and to those being saved its the power of God.Thats huge! Check out 1 Cor 2:14. You can see these things because you are a born again son of God and it is(Col 1:27) Christ in you. When I think about that it Absolutly blows me away. My friend we are able to the things of God because we are his sons. Whether the words Jesus spoke in the gospels are printed in red or black they dont add or take anything away from what we read in Rev 7:13,14. If it helps to keep you closer to God and make you stronger outstanding. Make sure you understand 2 Peter 1:21,22 and your doing 2 Timothy 2:15. Doc, Kalos,Ray, help me out here if I'm missing something here. I dont wanna be pushing anyone away or confuse them. tduplechain Godbless you. Your brother in Christ, lionheart |

490 | How we judge the Man? | John 7:51 | lionheart | 141859
Good day my brother, I'm gonna do my best to practice what I preach here. Let see what we will see. 1) Does living water flow from OUR innermost beings? If we go to verse 39 we get our answer. But this he spoke of the Spirit. You can read the rest of the verse. Jesus is refering to the spirit. 2) We gotta be a little more carefull with this one. A lot of questions will be answered by going back and reading the entire chapter. I believe Nicodemus was calling them to task regarding the Law dealing with the treatment of those they sought to bring charges against. Even today we have a right to face our accusers and present our case. The Law here would apply to anyone they would look to bring charges against. I hope I'm not eating to much shoe leather here. By going back and reading the whole chapter we will see they are looking for acassion to charge Jesus. The majority of the religious authorities of that day denied that Jesus was Messiah,he was even addressed by them as being a false prophet,or being an illegitimat child. They were looking for a way to take him out. We all know that when they finally arrested and tried him they had broken the law on more than one point. I pray I havent made to much a mess of this. 491 | Can we take Scripture out of context? | Jer 29:11 | lionheart | 141853
Check this out, Romans 15:4 For what was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. Can we take scripture out of context? Most assuredly so. But when we apply a few basic principles when we are in the bible the odds of taking something out of context go way down. Scripure is addressed to us or it's for our learning. Jerimiah 29:11-13 it's a jem. Check out Acts 17:26-28. Gods has a plan for every last one of us.It's mans choice to follow that plan or not. 498 | Does God make plans to kill people? | 1 Sam 2:25 | lionheart | 141268
Goodmorning. 2 Peter 3:9b Says God is unwilling for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. It's not in Gods plan to kill anyone. With this in minde go back to 2Sam 2:12 and read up to vs.25. Eli's sons were into some absolutly despicable stuff. God will go a long way with us but the time comes when one refuses to deal with their sin then God will expose that sin and deal with it. God will not endure a nonrepentant heart forever. This was where Eli's sons were at.It's important here to know that Eli's sons did not know the Lord.(vs 12) They had no relationship with God. In Christ lionheart |

But most of all keep God first in your life.Mtt6:33 As you do these things God will show you where your strengths and talents lie, even your weaknesses. He will use these things to direct you and show you where he wants you. Read Eph3:20 God will do this for you bigtime. In Christ lionheart |
