Azure, Hey sis. Look at Ezekiel 32:12 in the amplified bible it will help clear this up for you. The thing with words lets take all for instance, is how they are used. In this case is it all without exception or all with distinction. It makes a difference. Do a word study and you'll see the differences, some fo em can be quite subtle but you will notice them. 207 | What are the names we should call upon? | Joel 2:32 | lionheart | 163315
Chris, You cover a lot of ground here.Look at 2 Timothy 3:16,Romans 15:4,2 Timothy 2:15,God has went to great lengths to lay out his plan for us and to keep it clear to those who are truly seeking him. Confusion reigns when we start trying to figure it out on our own instead of going to God and His Word and trusting Him to guide us and show us.In the Old Testement Gods Word is refered to as a lamp,a lamp provides light and when we have light we have the ability to see where we are at and the way God is directing us.We just gotta make sure we are walking with our eyes open.We gotta keep em open,it gets dark at times but the great thing about God and His Word is we dont have to stay in the dark. 208 | 2 Questions regarding tithing | Mal 3:10 | lionheart | 141210
When we give with a 2Cor9:7 heart we open the floodgates of Gods blessings Mal 3:10. Ultimatly its to God that you are giving and he will honor that.Dont let this situation harden your hearts regarding your tithe. Get advice from your Pastor or elders regarding this. You may even want to request that your tithe go to a particular ministry or work within the fellowship. But by all means continue to give, God will take care of the rest. In Christ lionheart |

209 | Giving money to building fund tithing? | Mal 3:10 | lionheart | 163228
pbp, Malachi 3:10- Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse,so that there may be food in My house, and test me now in this says the Lord of hosts,if I will not open for you the windows of heaven ,and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. When we give our tithe and I emphasize the word give here because thats wher our heart should be. So it's not amatter of giving to a fund or a cause because we are giving to God. we dont make our giving conditinal we just give and God will handle the rest. Check out Ecclesiastes 12:13 This sums up our whole responsibility to God. God loved us unconditionaly, should this not apply when it comes to our giving? In Christ, lionheart |

210 | What biblical guidelines to tell gospel? | Matthew | lionheart | 187882
jfitness, Greetings and welcome to the forum.Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek first the kingdom of God. It's not so much the tradition ie. easter eggs on Easter that are wrong,it's when we love these things more than we do God and our walk with him. It's when we places things ahead of God that we get into trouble. May I sugest 2 Timothy 2:15 and Romans 14. PS- It's gotta start with us. In Him, lionheart. |

211 | Holiness mixed with un-holiness equals ? | Matthew | lionheart | 187933
Jean, Sorry about that,I may have misunderstood what you were stating.I agree with you, when it comes to Gospel and our reaching out to the lost we have to be uncompromising where Gods Word is concerned.Thanx for making your position clearer. In Him, lionheart |

212 | bible years seem backwards | Matthew | lionheart | 189692
elohim7, Greetings and welcome to the forum. The answer that bianca0517 gave you was pretty close. The numbers do get smaller or as you say go backwards. The calender used during during this period of time was based on the time Christ was born. Thus when yousee, for example the year 500BC is fivehundred years before Christ was born. I also believe we are refering to a Hebrew calender during this time. The calender we use today is based on the Roman calender that became more prevelant with the growth of the Roman empire. I hope this helps, there others thar are more knowledgeable about this than I. In Him, lionheart |

213 | what is faith | Matt 1:1 | lionheart | 156631
llombardo2, Grettings and welcome to the forum.Read Hebrews chapter 11 and James chapter 2. Both of these scriptures give a clear picture of faith and what it is and what it is not.I pray that this will clarify things for you. I could tell you in my own words, but there are certain things where Gods Word will say it better than we ever could. In Christ, lionheart |

214 | In the Name of the Lord (Authority) | Matt 5:17 | lionheart | 223285
Inquisitor, Good day to ya. There has been constant squabble and argument where the OT and OT law are concerned. And in large part to two words, Abolish and fulfill. Time after time we hear the statement the law has been abolished. Chapter and vers--e please. Fulfill yes, absolutely! Jesus even says so Himself. Matt 5:17,18. 2 Ti 3:16-17 tells us that all scripture is God breathed. Why would one want to minimalise or discount any part of Gods Word. We cant afford to do that. The whole of scripture is there for our benefit and instruction. It behooves us to keep our hearts and minds in it. 2 Ti 2:15. We are no longer under the law but may I suggest that there is plenty to point and guide people to Christ. In Him, lionheart |

215 | Who to follow? Jesus or Moses | Matt 5:17 | lionheart | 223289
Inquisitor, I wasn't necessarily referring to you but what goes on frequently. May I refer to Ro 15:4 tells us how earlier scriptures (That would include OT and OT law) point to The Gospels and NT writtings. They in no way usurp, change or take away any thing in the Gospels or Epistles. It does shed light on what we do have today. In Him, lionheart |

Nilita2290, Greetings and welcome to the forum.Adultry is adultry know matter what. I dont know if this an actual situation you or someone else is dealing with. I will say this,we are commanded to forgive as we have ourselves have been by God. Look at Matthew 5:27-30 James 1:13-20 give us a good picture of what our hearts attitude should be when we are dealing with sin be it our own or someone elses. Hope this helps. In Christ, lionheart |

218 | As Christians what is our role in war | Matt 5:44 | lionheart | 192636
Jon, May I recommend that you do a word study on the words kill and killing. War should be abhorrent to all. It definitely wouldn't be at the top of my list of choices. When one is referring to kill are they referring to murder? Murder is killing but not all killing is tantamount to murder. Do the word study. I dont know how many times over the years I've had people tell me I couln't be a Christian and be in the military. Ya know I got tired of it. Being in the military never had anything to do with wheather I was a Christian or not. Explain to us men of God such as David, The bible tells us David was man after Gods own heart. A military man hmmm... Many men and women Cristian and non christian alike have sacrificed thier lives so that you and I can enjoy the freedoms God has so richly granted us. In Him, lionheart |

219 | Is rightly dividing a Numbers Game? | Matt 6:9 | lionheart | 143345
Definitely not a numbers game.2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth. The greek word orthotomeo is used here-to handlecorrectly, guide on a straight path, correctly handles. Doesnt have much to do with numbers but everything to do with how we handle Gods Word. Hope this makes things somewhat clearer. lionheart |
