That is a very touching and eye opening recording but the truth is even with all of these things the day will come when even they as well as most will experience a very dark and hopeless eternity unless they find the true peace that resides in the Saviour of the world, the lord Jesus Christ. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Merry Christmas too all those who have a personal lasting relationship with the Living Christ of Christmas! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. CDBJ |

It isn't a sin issue since the death of Christ, it's a Son issue. 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. People’s “sins aren’t even mentioned” at the white throne judgment and they are lost individuals for sure! What is mentioned is what they did in the way of works instead of trusting in the finished work of Christ. CDBJ |

Greetings, I hope you receive this in the same love and truth by which it is sent. Just as Christ faced issues that confronted him while he was residing on this earth we must due likewise. Christ faced problems head on with the doctrine that he had residing in His soul. We must do the same with the Bible doctrine that we have metabolized through the imperative command to study the Word so that we won’t be ashamed when problems arise. 2 Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. When we have to use others as our crutch to stabilize us in our decisions it signifies a glitch in our Christian way of life. The studyBibleForum is in place to help provide Biblical answers to Biblical question not provide counseling to the participants who utilize the forum. If believers can’t withstand the charge of the mosquito what will be their demise when the charge of the elephant comes? Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 1 Cor. 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. We bear up under the pressures of life by claiming many of the “seven thousand promises” that God has for us along with His guarantee of there fulfillment. God’s Word can handle all of our problems but just like food on the shelf of a grocery store it doesn’t do us any good until we eat it and digest it. Many times God sends us trials to test us, i.e. if we are residing in His strength or depending on our own energy of the flesh. Have a good day, CDBJ |

That’s your decision to make from the doctrine that you have residing in your soul! We don’t give advice just Bible doctrine. Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. Don’t look to man for your answers turn to the Lord. Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Are you one in need of help; do what the verse says. I might be jumping to the assumption that you have, at some point in time, had a personal relationship with the Lord and have trusted in the finished work of Christ? If you haven’t had this experience yet everything that I have said up to this point won’t make a great deal of sense to you. Is that the case? CDBJ |

Greetings and welcome to the forum. The verses that emphasize your point in question is found in Hosea. Keeping to the text of this verse in context one must put the verse in it’s proper perspective. Hosea 4:1-10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. 2By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. 3Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away. 4Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest. 5Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother. 6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. 7As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame. 8They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity. 9And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings. 10For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD. In order for one to understand God’s word there are certain things that must take place first using I Corinthians as a good example. 1 Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Are you familiar with what it means by the natural man? CDBJ |

That’s solid information alright but it isn’t exactly what that verse has in mind. Just like the natural man is born into this world with the equipment to function in this world, like wise the one who is going to function in the life to come, i.e. life with God or everlasting life needs to be born of the spirit so that he has the equipment necessary to understand spiritual phenomenon. That’s why Jesus said the following: John 3:1-6 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Before we can go any further, have you come to the place yet where you know for sure that you have been born of the spirit? CDBJ |

Greetings, It sounds to me like you are on the right track. Don’t let you emotions get in the way of believing in God’s promises; that is the quickest way to be defeated in one’s spiritual walk! Read all of Heb. Chapter 11, then notice what it says in verse 39, then understand that God is the one who reveals truth to us through His Spirit. John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. I don’t know how long you have been a believer in Christ but for me it’s been over 46 years and I am still learning how to trust the Lord through the application of the faith rest technique. If you don’t understand certain things ask for wisdom and apply the following. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: The more time spent in studying God’s word the better off you will be! 1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 2 Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Water baptism is the first ritual that one can fulfill as a new believer in Christ. Water baptisms are wet rituals, while real baptisms are dry. The baptism of the Spirit seals the new believer. Ephes. 1:12-13 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, At the moment of salvation God in His grace does 40 things for us, 39 of them are irrevocable while one is revocable; that one is the filling of the Spirit. God says that He will never leave us or forsake us but the moment we sin He is quenched and draws back because we from that point on are functioning under the control of our old sin nature or as Scripture puts it, controlled by the flesh. We are commanded to be filled. Ephes. 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; This is in the imperative mood in the Koine Greek so it’s something we can do and it is accomplished by the exercise of 1 John 1:9. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. By naming our sins to God the Father we are put back in fellowship and under the control of the Holy Spirit again up until the next time that we get out of line by sinning! CDBJ |

178 | rapture is pre or post 7 yr tribulation | Bible general Archive 4 | CDBJ | 230517 | ||
Greetings and welcome to the forum. The returning of Christ to this Earth referred; to as the Second Advent, and commencing with the term, rapture has numerous verses found in Scripture. What ever position one might hold, and there are four that are basically held and they all cling to certain pet verses to substantiate their position without elaborating on the other verses that refer to the same function. It’s interesting to when people find out that the coming of the Lord isn’t a verb, which shows action, but a noun that comes to us from the Greek word PAROUSIA which represents an event. Just as the lord’s first advent took aprox. thirty three years to fulfill the second advent will take it total of years to complete. The Lord’s return will actually cover “two events” that both take place in the same day, just as it did in Noah’s time and Lot’s time, first the deliverance to a place of safety for the believers then God’s wrath is poured out on those left behind, the rapture signals the beginning of God’s wrath. So to accurately put a time on it, it would be safe to say that the rapture will occur just before the wrath of God commences and a close look at II thes. points this out. 2 Thes. 1:3-10 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, 4so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure, 5which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer; 6since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, 7and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, (Here is the timing found in verse 10) 10when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed. Chapter 2: 1-5 back this up and further points out that this is the time of the rapture. 2 Thes. 2:1-5 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 5Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? The rest of the book explains what we are in for before this things take place and it isn’t going to be a bed of roses! I hope this helps, even though it isn’t good tidings to know what’s in store for the believers when these times come about but I’m sure the Lord can see us through it all for His praise Glory. That’s why it will be a glorious appearing. Titus 2:13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, CDBJ |
