Hi AIT, No problem with the delays, it seems like my whole life is one big delay! It's so nice to hear from you and I hope everything is going well. I remember my first few years as a born again believer just as though it were yesterday but in reality it’s been close to 40 years now. I think I knew more then, then I know now; just kidding. Have you come to the place yet, in your walk with the Lord, where you can say for certain that you have eternal life; is it a sure thing with you yet? Here is one for you: lets say you were to standing before God this very day, awesome idea, and He were to say to you, why should I let you come into my kingdom, what do you think you would say to Him; just hypothetically speaking? I don’t know if you have every had this thought before but I have. What do you think you would say in a situation like that; it will be interesting to hear your thoughts on this. Have a great day, CDBJ |

Hi AIT, I like your example of the grave stone. I told my wife that when I die, she doesn’t even have to bother putting me in the ground, just through me in the back yard, and I will raise enough stink that somebody will bury me. She didn’t think it was funny either! There is an interesting point on your post that I noticed. You mentioned the following and it sure seems like the thing we would all want God to say about us “"With her, I am well pleased." Why would God want to say that about you personally speaking? I have kind of had thoughts along those same lines. I wanted to be the best person I could be and trust God and have Him look favorably on me. Then one day someone showed me the following, in the Bible that I would like to share with you; boy, did this open my eyes! The one that showed me this said that this is how God looks at me, and everyone else. Romans 3:10 As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one; Romans 3:12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one." I told him well I believe in God and I’m doing the best I can do and he continued to show me these verses. Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, The question is then how can I be pleasing in God’s sight since I am imperfect? The answer is that I have to get God’s eyes of me and on to something perfect instead of me; i.e. something in my place. Now how do I do that? God says that He will place me in Jesus Christ His Son positionally, if I will completely trust in the work that God did for me on the cross in the person of His Son Jesus. In essence Jesus gets old filthy me and God ascribes to me His perfect righteousness: what a deal!! But I have to have confidence or total undivided faith in Gods Son Jesus, in order for all of this to happen! Paul even mentions this in Romans about his countrymen and I fit the same pattern, how they believe in God and even with zeal but their believing in God wasn’t God’s plan: Jesus is God’s only plan! Romans 10:1-4 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. [2] For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. [3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. [4] For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. It’s kind of strange when we speak about believing in God and trusting in Him. God the Father wants us to use Jesus as the way to Him and eternal life. Acts 4:12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. When I started reading the Bible I was close and on the right track all right but it wasn’t until I finally come to the conclusion of the following that I knew God was right about the life hereafter. That if God were to ask me; Why should I let you come into My Kingdom, I would have say, while face down on my knees? Because of my precious Saviour Jesus, He paid my price and opened the way for me and I completely trust in what he did for me on the cross, that what he did was sufficient for me to get into heaven. I could say, Father if you weren’t satisfied with what Jesus did for me you wouldn’t have raised Him from the dead but you did and I trust in Him and believe what you promised me and I have Jesus as my own. 1 John 5:10-13 He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. [11] And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. [12] He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. [13] These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. And now AIT, you know the rest of my story, CDBJ |

Hello JimmyHen, I agree with the first part of your “lengthy” post, that we should “all” back up our post with Scripture. You stated in you post, “many things here my friend, you backed nothing up with scripture, for one,” Those are your exact words, yet in the entire lengthy of your post you made no mention of any particular biblical chapter of verse to support your positions, are we to assume then that you are above what you require of others? Or maybe you neglected to list the word “I Corinthians” before your 9:11 1 Cor. 9:11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things? It sounds like a prime case of the pot calling the kettle black, do you agree? 2 Tim. 3:16 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: Psalm 119:160 (NASB) The sum of Thy word is truth, And every one of Thy righteous ordinances is everlasting. 2 Tim. 2:15 (NIV) Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Have a nice day, CDBJ |

Hello JimmyHen, It seems you have been asking all the questions about antichrist and if certain prospects could fill the bill. Cutting to the chase; Whom, “in your opinion”, was the person of Jesus Christ; and please expatiate if possible? Matthew 16:13-15 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? [14] And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. [15] He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am Recognizing or spotting counterfeit money at a glance is taught to those in our government: i.e. those who have control over our currency and, in essence, are on the inside track. The way it is done is by teaching them the genuine bills to the point that a phony stands out like a sore thumb; the same is true when it comes to antichrist. There are many antichrist and then there is the antichrist; the one that will make a covenant of death with Israel, i.e. the man of sin. Isaiah 28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 2 Thes. 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; [4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. I would like your personal viewpoint with regards to just whom the person of Jesus Christ actually is? Do you think you can handle that question with the knowledge that you have acquired, or would you say that you are still in the early training stage? CDBJ |

In considering you post, could you please present the Scripture that backs up you statement? You presumed the following, “He did take into consideration our free will and I believe that is why Christ died for our sins, because God knew Satan would hold us for ransom.” I am being held by a stronger source then Satan! John 10:28-30 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. [29] My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. [30] I and my Father are one. Satan is far worse off then those who have the opportunity to escape eternal condemnation by trusting in the finished work of Christ. Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: It’s God that must be satisfied when it comes to the price for man’s eternal placement, not the looser Satan! God has already paid the price for man’s redemption and Satan is already judged. 2 Tim. 2:25-26 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; [26] And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. The truth is, Jesus, and what he has already done! People need to acknowledge this fact and turn from what they have been trusting in for eternal life to faith in God’s Son. John 16:7-11 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. [8] And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: [9] Of sin, because they believe not on me; [10] Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; [11] Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. It wasn’t Satan that held us for ransom, we were held by the cures of the law. Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: It’s a done deal, I have read the end of the book and the saint’s team wins and we have something to sing about. Rev. 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. Hello JimmyHen, I’m note trying to make any particular point; I am just trying to figure out where it is you are coming from. You are one of the few that has posted on the forum more then fifteen times and yet have neglected to put anything about yourself in the personal profile section. It’s always nice to be able to see where a person stands. I guess everyone has a motive for what they do, or should I say what they neglect to do. Many aren’t even aware that all they have to do is click on the name of the author of any post to fine out a little something about the author. Usually those that neglect to fill out this portion on the forum have an ulterior motive and they don’t want to be found out. There have been times in the past when members have stopped posting to the above mentioned types because they surmise that they are up to no good since they are holding something back. Matthew 5:14-16 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. [16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Most of the forthright members of the forum follow this pattern. 2 Cor. 4:1-4 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; [2] But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. [3] But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: [4] In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. I hope this is the pattern that you are trying to follow and that you will share something with us on your personal profile, CDBJ |

Hi NightJay, That is a very sweet story and a moment that you can cherish: be sure to tell her what Jesus has done for her. Maybe I can shed a little light on your understanding of the part where people only live to be 120 years old as you suggest. I used to think the same thing, that people could only live 120 years; I read it from the verse in Gen. Genesis 6:3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. It was pointed out to me that it would be 120 years from that moment until God would actually destroy mankind with the flood. The next few verses point out why God was going to do it. Genesis 6:5-8 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. [6] And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. [7] And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. [8] But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Those in Noah's day only 120 years to get their soul in order before the flood waters would wipped them out. Is that food for thought? Here are some verses that you can use for your grandmother. Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. [15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. It’s a real privilege that we have, to be able to pray for those that we love and hold dear; and the fact that the Lord actually hears and answers to the call of His children; those trusting in the finished work of God’s Son Jesus. Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Dear Nightjay, Don’t get hung up on all of the dos and don’ts of the Christian way of life. This is where the Jews got all twisted and bent out of shape and started putting more emphasis on there tradition then they did on what God’s Word said. Matthew 15:2-3 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. [3] But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Don’t get all tangled up with a bunch of rules and regulations! 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Col. 2:16-23 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: [17] Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. [18] Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, [19] And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. [20] Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, [21] (Touch not; taste not; handle not; [22] Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? [23] Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. Have a great day, CDBJ |
