Searcher As I read your note about your definition of worship I was reminded of 2 Samuel. If you will recall, David was bringing the ark into Jerusalem. As the ark was carried forth David sang and danced before it in intense worship. David's wife proceeds to degrade and admonish him for his behavior, of which she did not improve. David's answer? I will celebrate BEFORE THE LORD. I think caution is in order. Not only here, but with the initial question that started this thread. Who are we to question the worship of others? Who are we to question what is in their hearts? Wether they use acoustic guitars with drums or the organ or no music at all, who are we to judge what is in their hearts. God's reaction to Michal seems pretty straight forward. I would also consult 2 Corinthians 5:11. Just food for thought offered up in the spirit of mutual edification. Brian |

Scripture ... 2 Sam 6:1-22 (vv 5, 13-18) ... Brian, I see the words celebrating, sacrificed, danced, leaping, offerings, blessed ... none of these words are worship. While some of these words may be related to worship ... most of this chaptr is above praise, which is not the same as worship. People have been misled to think there is a worship dance. Before you respond, take about six months and study the words translated worship ... then you'll see some have a better translation. Searcher |

In your opinion, which is fine. Don't look down on others for theirs. |
