Subject: How to "win the world" ? |
Bible Note: Greetings Emmaus!(I had thought about attending a Catholic service on Sunday!) Needless to say, I recognize the Great Commission, but I am having a difficult time seeing the need to "recreate" the world's environment within the walls of the church. Bottom line is that it is the environment of the heart of the body that must reflect the character and nature of God toward the "lost"! As those who are "different" come into our midst, how do we respond? With love and compassion . . . seeing them as God sees them, deeply loved - how was THAT love expressed? Does OUR love look like that? (ouch!) Anyway, God is dealing with me on this right now and I'm just trying to put it all together. We are to love our enemies and bless those who persecute us - how do we love them? By seeing them through God's eyes. Who are our enemies? Are they God's enemies? We were once God's enemies too . . . upon reflection of this fact, how might this make a difference in the way we respond to those who have yet to know Him too? Just musing - thanks for the book suggestion. mommapbs |
