Greetings Angel3! I don't understand what you mean by 'working up to God'. There are certain things that we are commanded to do in Scripture. If we attempt to do those things well, how is that 'trying to work up to God'? If we seek to obey His commands, aren't we starting with God? ;-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Hi Tim--"working up to God"--is the way I express an attidude we people seem to have. His word to us is " I AM HAVE FAITH IN ME"-Yes ther are "commands" in scripture--but the Good News is ---God knows we can't DO them--this is the GOOD NEWS--JESUS DID ALL OF THEM--we can not--we are covered by HIS BLOOD--this is our righteousness---only IN HIM -BY HIM- FOR HIM-TO HIM THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO he DID IT ALL--" it is finished" if we seek to obey our heart is right but we will never obey well enough--JESUS DID and this is why HE is everything--This is why we are "covered by the blood"--In Him angel3 | ||||||
