1 | Church requirements for helping others? | Gal 6:10 | Norrie | 121243
I think you grasped the situation exactly. We do help her, Mike thinks his sister should help too but it's just us. Oh well again. :) There are some individual members who help her but she said the pastor when he did bring a few things over, didn't even get out of his car to come in a pray w/her, just sent his daughter up. That's seemed kinda cold...they are a small church where they all know each other. I go to a large church so atmosphere is def. different. |

2 | Church requirements for helping others? | Gal 6:10 | Mommapbs | 121261
Norrie - I have suffered some abuse from the church and for a long time I carried around this bitter, "woe is me" heart - but the only one being robbed of joy was me. Even though I felt justified to feel as I did, it was not until I chose to forgive my offenders that my joy was restored. No one can take away our joy, but unforgiveness keeps us from enyoing it! To avoid disappointment in others,I find it is always best not to expect anything from anyone (other than the Lord - hope in Him is "confident expectation!") - for when we don't expect and they do something nice, it is a double surprise! Blessings, mommapbs |
