Just an observation: When Jesus was crucified, they pierced His side and water and blood flowed down. See John 19 34. Throughout Scripture, water is for cleansing and blood is for fogiveness. Jesus met the requirement of God to be a perfect sacrifice for sin. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved! See Acts 4:12 Salvation occurs at the moment of faith . . . it is by faith that we are saved . . . see Epesians 2:8-9. Baptism is a choice to publically recognize this finished work of Christ on the cross. What a priviledge! |
