So Jesus ADDED a requirement for salvation? Abraham is justified by faith (no baptism), but we as New Testament believers have to do MORE thanks to the substitutionary death of Christ? For what does the Scripture say? "ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS." But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness --Romans 4:3,5 Indeed, what does the Scripture say? The way of salvation has been the same since the Fall. --Joe! |

Joe, though indeed requirements for salvation have been ADDED here and there, now and then, Jesus has never been the mathematician. And your correspondent spoke of "rules that apply to salvation." Wonder what THOSE are? --Hank | ||||||
