1 | Praying in tongues? | 1 Cor 14:1 | gan | 76843 | ||
Hi There. The fourteenth chapter of this letter was written to direct the believers in ways to maintain decency and order in the use of there spiritual gifts. Verse two: What cannot be understood can never edify. But he who prophesies (as that is what the apostle favours and encourages second to love in this chapter) spoke to the advantage of his hearers as they would better understand be comforted and was to there spiritual advantage. PLEASE NOTE It is never prudent to isolate a passage and try and make sense of it. One must always read it in context with the letter and chapter. Ps my wife (the beat of my heart) asks your name and where you are from of course you can remain anonymous. Regards Gan |
