I would encourage anyone to read the Gospel of Matthew and open themselves up to be touched by the Holy Spirit and not believe the soft-headedness of some people and the way that they so desire to portray Jesus as a mere, weak human being...if we listened to people like LimeJuice, we would insist that Jesus is whomever we wanted Him to be, rather than the Lord and Savior that the Bible reveals Him to be. --Joe! |

There are those who will not go see certain movies because they are afraid, there are those who will not celebrate the sabbath on Saturday because they fear it is really Sunday, and vice versa, there are those who will only eat fish on Friday, there are those who will not eat meat because they are afraid, there are those who will only worship God in a Catholic church, there are those who will only worship Him in a charismatic church, or presbyterian church, or methodist church, etc. etc. etc. and so it goes .... and so it goes .... perfect love casts out all fear .... to those who feel all the above things are sin, I respect your beliefs, now please respect my feeling of freedom from all of the above ..... as the Holy Spirit so advises the churches ..... for that is truly who I am, I am free in Him, and do not consider any of the above a sin. I love Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar and I love Jesus outside of Jesus Christ Superstar. I simply love Jesus. Now, if anyone has any problem with me, please take it up with Jesus, He is my Righteousness, my Advocate, my Lawyer, my Savior, etc. etc. etc. and so it goes and so it goes. LOVE, Lime |

Love, love, love. Maybe I will go put on "All You Need is Love," another song sung by a Christ-hater, and really "see God in it"... No wonder non-Christians accuse us of turning off our brains... --Joe! |

Joe, "of turning off our brains," or of not having any to begin with? :-) I like the line of C.S.Lewis in which he speaks of his pre-conversion assessment of Christians; to wit, that he supposed it was a requirement that Christians, upon entry into a house of worship, were to leave their brains along with their hats on the rack provided...... Some years ago Albert Schweitzer was being interviewed in London. He was asked, "What's wrong with men today?" The good doctor reflected for a moment and replied, "Men simply don't think." It is enough that all too many Christians in our time continue to check their brains in at the door of the church and simply don't think. It is more than enough that these same Christians presume to teach others the art of non-thinking. --Hank | ||||||
