Jesified: Re-read my post first. The sarcasm of your response is noted:-) My friend, I do know what I'm saying. I have the cannon of scripture to back me. None of these speakers has any "special anointing". There is no biblical basis for this. None! They do not have anything that me or you don't have in this regard. Acording to 2 Cor. 2:21,"Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has annointed us is God..." We as believers are annointed by God.It's an accomplished act, not something to be sought. The problem here is twofold: One, the terms "annointed"and "annointing" have been misunderstood and misused. (Do a word study on the usage and context if you don't believe me). Second, any time we hold up a man or ministry to be above reproach because they're "annointed of God" we open up the door to all kinds of potential abuses and errors. BradK, I apologize for the sarcasm of my last post. I still slip on the whole "walking in love" issue now and then. I agree that we should not lift them up to the point where they do no wrong. Though we disagree elsewhere. Both of us are fairly well set in our ways and I believe it to be unfruitful to continue discussion. God bless, Jesified |
