1 | Please explain the Trinity. | John 1:1 | Hank | 30102
Norrie, perhaps it is that we do (sometimes) understand English that makes it so handy! I love the line from Huckleberry Finn, speaking of the way a Frenchman says things, the character Jim observes, "Well, it's a blame ridicklous way, en I doan want to hear no mo' 'bout it. Dey ain't no sense in it." Now and then on the forum the same could be said for the way we use our beloved English tongue! :-) --Hank

I reckon I can dig that, man! :) You know what's really bad, when you read a book where a Scottish person is talking English w/that accent, I can't understand what I'm reading. It's bad enough when it's a real Englishman speaking, esp. a commoner-you know how they write like it's said...like you proved w/Jim. :) |
