1 | Please explain the Trinity. | John 1:1 | kalos | 29404
Hank, ethan, Searcher56, et al.: The original question was: "Please explain the Trinity." He who can define and defend the Trinity does well. But whoever can *explain* the Trinity deserves an honorary doctor's degree from Dallas Theological Seminary as well as Harvard and Oxford Universities. kalos |

Kalos, now YOU'RE being complicated! If God is simple, why shouldn't the Trinity be simple too? --Hank
3 | Please explain the Trinity. | John 1:1 | kalos | 29413
Hank: "If God is simple..." That's a big IF. I would use a lot of adjectives to describe God, but "simple" would not be one of them. The Gospel itself (John 3:16) is simple enough for a child to understand. But even God's creation (the material universe) is not simple. So how could the Creator be simple? Do I find God simple? By no means! I don't even know how a toaster works. kalos :-) |
