1 | Freewill before the fall? | Gen 2:9 | Huron | 125838
Before Adam and Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil did they have "freewill"? My guess is they did, but I'm interested in hearing what others think about this verse. Thanks! Huron |

2 | Freewill before the fall? | Gen 2:9 | kalos | 126086
"Freewill" is not the term the Bible uses when it talks about human choice. The word "freewill" is used 22 times in the entire Bible and ALWAYS in connection with the word "offering(s)". In the NIV the words elect, election, choose, chosen and chose appear 250 times. In all cases they mean, simply, "chosen," or "to choose". While not always referring to election for salvation, the majority of the occurences of the words choose or chosen is speaking of God's choosing, not man's. |
