DL5, When it comes to prophecy which I study quite a bit off. I change my mind 15 dozen times weekly it seems. I have come to the conclusion no one will know for sure until it happens what it all means. There hasn't been a prophecyt yet that was completely understood until the fullment of it. TYRE is a good example of that. I can't remember where that prophecy is right now but its a awe one when you relieve how every word was fullfilled. The NewYork thing is a far cry from calling it dogmatic but I was surprised how well it fit whne I looked at NYC and those verses. Chapter 12 is totally confusing to me. I know the main part of what it saying but going word for word it causes a little confusion. But until the Holy Spirit revels it there are alot more to learn. In Christ, Darcy |

I have taken what you said about the pride of Babylon and put it in my notes. Its one of the more likely things that it could be :) Probably after looking at those verses it seems very likely. Okay If you like I'll start and we can go verse by verse and stay at the verse until we are satified with that verse? 12:1 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; A great sign in heaven appeared. This is one of the problems I have understanding in this verse. It sounds like you should take this part of the verse literal. If so than what is the sign? According to the Verse its the remaining part of the verse. But very confusing to me that this would be a sign in heaven because the rest of the verse is sounds figurative. If The woman here is Israel (Isa. 66:7,8) This is also fulfiling Verse 2. The clothed with the sun , and trhe moon under her feet I can't quite get exactly what this represents but it seems to come close with Josephs dream in (Gen 37:9-11) The 12 stars is the tribes of Israel. God Bless you, Darcy |

Darcy, One way (I believe Rev 12 as polyvalent levels of meaning)of understanding Rev 12 is to start with Rev 11:19. Now go to Gen 3:15, Ex 40:34, Luke 1:35, 2 Sam 6:9, Luke 1:43, 2 Sam 6:11, Luke 1:56, 2 Sam 6:16, Luke 1:41. Emmaus |
