1 | How do you explain these Humpty? | Revelation | DarcyA | 96025
I didn't say that. The church is distinct from Israel. The church is promised Heaven the israelites in the OT are not. The Israelites are promised The land of Cannan (Israel) Remember if you read the old testement Israel does accept Christ after His return. If you keep in mind that Israel is not promised Heaven and the Church is not promised Israel. IT all fits. It all connects perfectly no figurative all literal unless states CLEARLY otherwise.
2 | How do you explain these Humpty? | Revelation | humpy | 96373
no you must understand that the spiritual Israel is the true Israel. Look at this Romans.9:6-8. The seed here that Paul is talking about is the true Israel of God and they are those in the flesh, that is those over there in Jerusalem are not the children of God but the church is the true Israel the true jew. I'm not saying that none of the jews will be saved, they will, even Paul was a jew and so was Peter, but what I'm saying is that all those promises that you read about in the O.T. were fulfilled in Christ and the Church. And I must add that you must look at the bible spiritual, like take the ark, what this have to do with Christ, and the offerings of Israel, what did they have to do with Christ, see my meaning, all of the bible shows us Christ and we must look at these things spiritual. And like I told you before this has nothing to do with Revelation. But I think that I have made my point on this subject and so have you, and even though we don't agree on lot's of things I do thank you for all of your notes and letting me know how you feel about the subject, when all get to heaven I am sure that Christ will show us many things that we did not see so clearly. I think I will end this subject and go on to another. Thanks.

4 | WHO DID CHRIST DIE FOR ?????? | Revelation | humpy | 96378
Who did Christ Die For? It is believed by most of the world today that Christ died for all of man kind. But did he? The bible is very clear on this and I would like to give one verse that must be answered before we can say that Christ died for all of man kind. John. 17:2 here we find that Christ gives eternal life to who? not everyone but to who? only to those that the father has given him, notice that he say has given, not will give, but already has given to him, pass tense. Now if everyone here was in view there would be no reason to say all that the father has given me. So we can see just from this one verse and there are a lot more, that Christ did not die for everyone and that God has not the will to save everyone. |

John 12:32 "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw ALL men to Myself." (emp. added) 2 Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. enough said. |

6 | WHO DID CHRIST DIE FOR ?????? | Revelation | humpy | 96386
The world in John.3:16 does not mean everyone. Look at John.17:9 does this mean that Christ prays for no one? and as for 2 Peter.3:9 the is not slack concerning his promise, what promise? Not to save everyone in the world, nowhere does the bible say this. But notice that little word USWORD. what does this word mean. God is not will that who should not perish, not any of the usword. Well who is Peter writting to here? Not everybody in the world not to all men. But to whom is Peter writing to here? verse one tells us, it is the beloved, those that are already saved, and he tells us that God is not willing that any of us should perish and indeed none of the usword will. When jesus said that he would draw all men unto him, the word here for all men does not mean everybody in the world. If it did Christ would have to save everybody in the world and no one would ever be lost.If all men meant everyone. The all men here means all men of every nation and race, not just the jews, but all men of every nation and race. But back to my question, what about John.17:2 no one has answered the question.
7 | WHO DID CHRIST DIE FOR ?????? | Revelation | DarcyA | 96387
In Christ Seven times Jesus speaks of believers as given to Him by the Father (# Joh 17:2,6,9,11,12,24). Jesus Christ is God’s love-gift to the world (Joh 3:16), and believers are the Father’s love-gift to Jesus Christ. It is Christ who commits the believer to the Father for safe keeping, so that the believer’s security rests upon the Father’s faithfulness to His Son Jesus Christ. (Scofield) To all on whom the Father has purposed to bestow the blessings of redemption through his Son. God has a plan in all he does, extending to men as well as to other objects. One part of his plan was that the atonement of Christ should not be in vain. Hence he promised him that he should see of the travail of his soul and should be satisfied (Isa 53:11); and hence the Saviour had the assurance that the Father had given him a portion of the human family, and would apply this great work to them. It is to be observed here that the Saviour in this prayer makes an important distinction between “all flesh” and those who were “given to him.” He has power over all. He can control, direct, restrain them. Wicked men are so far under his universal dominion, and so far restrained by his power, that they will not be able to prevent his bestowing redemption on those were given him that is, all who will believe on him. Long ago, if they had been able, they would have banished religion from the world; but they are under the power of Christ, and it is his purpose that there shall be “a seed to serve him,” and that “the gates of hell shall not prevail” against his church. Men who oppose the gospel should therefore feel that they cannot prevent the salvation of Christians, and should be alarmed lest they be found “fighting against God.” (Albert Barnes) |
