1 | If we ask for healing does God answer no | 1 Peter | mitchbornagain | 146751 | ||
Oh yes thank you! By the way is there a way to edit the post so I can correct the chapter number? In case that person doesn't read this one? I'd like them to have it correctly. What I was pointing out in that post, is that Jesus was asleep because he told his disciples to go to the other side, it was their boat, it wasn't his boat, he didn't need to be awake taking care of it, it was THEIR boat. They had authority to rebuke the storm, he told you to speak to your mountain, he told you to cast out devils, he told you to lay hands on the sick, he told you that if you drink any deadly thing it'll not harm you, he had been teaching them the Word of God, that very day, yet they didn't put value on the Word, so when the devil kicked up a little storm, they God mad at Jesus didn't they? But I'm just telling you, that it was their boat, and if it wasn't going across, its their fault. (By the way, are we suppose to have this topic in another thread so this doesn't get off topic?) Greetings Mitch! Sorry, but there is no way to edit a post once it has been posted! :-( You state that the disciples had the authority to rebuke the storm. Where does Scripture state this? Further, where does Scriptue state that the Devil kicked up the storm? I don't see their lack of faith as a lack of faith in their own 'authority', but in His authority and person. They didn't really understand who He was, if they had, the storm would not have worried them. :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

All I can tell you Sir, is re-read through the scriptures I've posted. And if you wish, back up a little bit, and see how Jesus had been teaching them, and how he had been saying the devil will come immediately to try to steal the Word from your hearts. The passages I refer you to state that it was the same day as he had been teaching them, that they got into the boat. Scripture doesn't say for certain it was the devil who tried to make that ship sink on the sea via a storm. But the storm did get them to lose their faith in what they had been taught, so it certainly worked for the benefit of Satan. And the reason I can say they had the authority, is because Jesus said Let us go over to the other side. He told them what to do, and brother if you have a command from God Almighty, you have all the authority in this World to make it happen. Mitch |
