1 | If we ask for healing does God answer no | 1 Peter | mitchbornagain | 146753 | ||
Have you ever looked up the defiintion of the word saved as used in Romans 10:13? And thanks for answering the question about Israel, because yes, we are Abrahams seed, and an heir according to the promise , as the scripture says. So that covenant name Jehova-Rapha, which by the way, is the first used by God, is available to me today. Mitch |

Greetings Mitch! Yes, I have looked up the word in Rom. 10:13! It is the normal word for 'saved'. :-) As for you second point my friend, where does Scripture state that the promises made to the nation of Israel apply to us today? Paul expands the meaning of 'Israel' in Romans 9-11, but he never means the nation of Israel by his expanded definition. Nor, does he make the case that all the promises to the nation of Israel apply to us today. As I mentioned in an earlier post, God promised Israel a pillar of fire and of cloud. Does that promise apply to you? God commanded Israel to build a temple. Does that command apply to you? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

The word can also be translated delivered, healed... As for the promises , Galatians 3:29 shows you the promises are for believers today. I don't need the pillar of fire today in my life, besides, that wasn't a covenant promise, such as the seven covenant names of God are. And yes to build a temple, that does apply to me, however the temple is no longer made of stone, my body is the temple of the Holy Ghost ( I Cor 6:19) . Mitch |
