1 | If we ask for healing does God answer no | 1 Peter | mitchbornagain | 146607
I can not understand how you think God CAN heal, yet that at times he just choses not to. I've adressed all these other concerns of yours in other posts, so I don't feel the need to repeat myself. You don't think God promises everyone the same thing, just a few, thats your choice to make, my Bible tells me God is no respecter of persons. And youa re like the billionth person who has said I haven't given Scripture in my posts, and again I will say yes I have. Sometimes I assume people will recognize them, so I leave out the Book Chapter and Verse, I'll try to not do that so much in the future, to clarify things for you better. Thanks for your note! So before Tim repsonded there were 999,999,999 people who have said you haven't given Scripture in your posts. That is impressive. When you get sick and He doesn't heal you right away, what are you going to do. |

Sir, you know good and well that I was just pointing out that many people have said I don't use scripture, not that I was serious in meaning a billion have said it, I was just meaning, a lot of people have said it. I'll pray for you brother, but there is no need to discuss Scripture with you, when you refuse to even walk in love, ungodly conversation such as your remark here, will profit noone on this website. I'm here to study, and to help others. I'm sorry its angered you Sir. God Bless, Mitch |

Mitch ::: Young man, you need to study Scripture more and in the meantime be less free with your opinions, which for the most part are not grounded in Scripture at all. Now, before you respond to me, I want you to know who you're responding to. I am now past 70 years old and have been a Christian since I was 14 years old -- that's well over half a century, young man. I have had two heart attacks, quadruple by-pass surgery and must wear a pacemaker-defibrillator the rest of my life. Don't give me this nonsense about receiving God's healing! I know both experientially and from the clear teaching of Scripture that physical healing is not a guaranty from God and that Christ died on the cross for my SINS, not so that I can sport a healthy body. And I add an epilogue: This is a Bible study Forum; it is not a sounding board for incessant opinions. Other of my colleagues have admonished you to cut out the plethora of unfounded opinions and, if you wish to continue to participate in the goings on of the Forum, to stick with what Scripture clearly teaches. Let's have no more of this business which is prefaced with "I can't prove this but..." and what follows is nothing on earth but opinion, conjecture, speculation. You say you are here to study and help others. Well, fine. Study and keep on studying. Paste 2 Timothy 2:15 on your bathroom mirror! Study involves the absorption of knowledge, not the dispensing of opinion. Right now, after looking at your posts, I have to tell you that you may best help others by being sure of what you are saying, by being sure that what you say is supported solidly by Scripture, and by keeping your ungrounded opinions to yourself. And above all, you would be well advised to speak less and listen more to what some of the seasoned Christians on the Forum have been trying to teach you. May you incur God's blessings in your quest for the truth of His eternal word. No one has been trying to rain on your parade, young friend, nor dampen your zeal: but zeal without knowledge is as dangerous as a ship without a rudder. --Hank
