1 | If we ask for healing does God answer no | 1 Peter | mitchbornagain | 146570 | ||
Let me please make it clear, I have never said, at least, I have never meant to say, God doesn't always heal everyone. God HAS healed everyone of us. He did it on the cross at Calvary, the same way he took the sins of everyone upon Himself. You believe everyone's salvation was acquired at calvary, yet, many never ACCEPT it, thus they die in their lack of knowledge. I am saying God healed everyone on Calvary, yet many have not recieved it, and many have died without recieving it. Its not God's fault, its their own. Where did Paul say that he was not healed? Type out the exact words where Paul said he was never healed, how about Timothy, where is it said that Timothy was STILL sick, why can't you accept the fact that perhaps the devil attacked Timothy through his stomach often, yet Timothy, through his faith in God, was delievered each time? And Paul having to leave someone sick, is no differnt than Jesus not being able to perform many mighty works in his own hometown. Remember, the Words says that all who were opressed by the devil were healed. There are some, who the devil doesn't have to bring sickness on, because he already has them in so much lack of faith, that the people are just opressed by their own unbelief. Again I will repeat, God's will is for everyone to walk in perfect health, and recieve healing whenever an attack from the enemy comes. He has provided that healing through the blood of Jesus, you just have to get into the Word, and with faith and patience, inherit the promises. Dying, doesn't have to mean sickness. Do you realize you don't have to have cancer or a heart attack to leave this world? You have never known anyone who just went peacefully? I may someday have to die for the sake of Jesus (ie. persecution such as Stephen went through) But I know my God would make it painless for me to endure, and I know that thats the only way I can leave this world prematurely. Also, yes I do wear glasses, I was born with a vision problem called nystagmus, the state of PA where I live says I can only drive during the day. Thus I can say, I am the Healed of the Lord, and my eye sight was restored to me the moment Christ went upon the cross. The manifestation will occur in my life at any second, and I know if I'm not getting it, its my own fault, I'm not going to blame God, as so many Christians today feel the need to do. I'm not going to get mad at the Lord, I'm going to do what the Word says to do, and I'm not coming off it. Mitch |

Dear Mitch, I am sorry for your eyesight. It is much more saddening, though, that you believe that the condition of your eyes is a matter of your lack of faith. If you cannot muster the faith that God demands to heal your eyes, it must cause you great anxiety as to whether your faith is sufficient for the purposes of saving your soul. In the light of this revelation, please forgive me for contending with you on other subjects. Indeed, there are few issues as important as a sound understanding of the work of Christ on Calvary. Thank you for your time, son. I hope I haven't sounded patronizing here. Truly, my heart goes out to you. I and others will be praying for your ultimate and complete healing. In Him, Doc |

You can be sad all that you want for me, but I do not need your pity. Jesus went upon the cross for me, and he took my sin, and he took all our infirmities upon himself. You surely know scripture says that exact same thing. I know that I have recieved my healing already, like I said before, yes if every good gift comes from God, and we know God doesn't change, if I'm not getting it, I'm man enough to admit I need to change myself. I need to make sure I learn the counsul of God's will for my life, and live it to the fullest. And just because my faith has not arrived to the point where I have fully recieved my healing (I can promise you brother the manifestation of complete healing has already begun, I already see things better today than I was seeing them a year ago) But just because my faith for healing has not reached its maximum, I don't fear that I am not saved. Have you read where there was a man with a demon that the disciples could not cast out? Do you think they then had to fear weather or not they were actually walking with Jesus? No! Jesus told them that kind of faith only comes by prayer and fasting. We all recieve the gift of faith when we are born again, it takes faith does it not, to recieve Christ as your savior? Because he that comes to God must believe that he is. Correct? But your faith doesn't have to stop there, Christ tells us that if we have faith as a grain of mustard seed, we can speak to the mountain and make it move. We know that we can get faith by hearing, and hearing by the Word. What does that tell me? It tells me to get into the Word, stay with the Word, and just stay with the Word, and it will manifest what it was sent to do. (James 1:25) So thank you for your sympathy, but I assure you, I may be able to admit I have not completely recieved my healing, but I KNOW that its God's will for me to have it, because he has already provided it. He has already said by his stripes I am healed, he has already said I am the Lord that healeth thee. Jesus is sweating it out in heaven, he expects his Word to work. And it will, and it already does in all areas of my life. I am saved Sir, I am a born again, spirit-filled, tongue talking, blood bought, blood washed, cleased by the power of God saint of the LIving King. Some might think thats to arrogrant to say , but its what God says about me, so I'll say it to the world as well. But let me make one thing clear, I believe demons are subject to me, I believe sickness is subject to me, meaning I believe I can recieve healing in my body, I believe I have the authority over myself and my family to cast out sickness, to cast out demons, to speak to mountains, but I rejoice as Christ said, because my name is written in Heaven. So again, thank you for your sympathy, and I assure you, God has already healed me. Just as he has already saved me, just as he knew me before the foundation's of the world. And I recive those promises based upon faith, which grows daily. Thanks for your post, Mitch |
