1 | If we ask for healing does God answer no | 1 Peter | farout | 39196
Yes, and no. The relationship with the sick, asking Jesus to heal them, while he walked on earth is one area by it's self. The question does Jesus say no to healing today is also yes and no. Confused yet? When we ask to be healed today, say from cancer, have you ever seen God answer no? Again my answer to you is yes and no. Yes some people are healed now, but not often that I see. Please remember any healing while we are alive is only temporary, we will die eventually. We are pilgrims just passing through, and heaven is our real home. We will be new, have new bodies, so ultimately we are healed. The verse you quote for me means Jesus Stripes that he bore was for my sin. Do you think that might be a different way at loking at this? |

No the verse does not say by His strips our sins are forgiven. It says he was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities it was the wounding and bruising not the stripes. The work God did for us on that cross was a total and complete work. Not a partial work and I believe the more I study God's word it would be a slap in God's face not to receive all He wants for us. I can not and will not refuse such a precious gift. In James it says let not a double minded man think he will receive anything from God and say yes and no is double minded. I don't believe God is double minded. Jesus said a house divided against itself will fail. Praise God! I'm not confused anymore God has done a complete and total healing spirit, soul, and body. Jesus also prayed Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Is there sickness in heaven? No!

Theresa, Does God heal us from the wound of sin which leads to death which we all suffer? Indeed He does, but not by healing us physically, nor by curing us natirally, but rather supernaturaly. Emmaus |

Sickness is the physical result of sin. Not to say because someone is sick they are in sin. It came into the world as a result of sin. It has to be battled spiritually. We have to believe and confess our healing with our spiritual man and then it will manifest in the physical. Sickness is either from God or from Satan. God doesn't play both sides. He's the healer or the afflicter. And I know some will say we get our healing spiritually. That is true but don't stop there keep pressing in and believing until the body lines up with the word of healing and the confession of our mouth. It has to happen if we do the word. |
