Please don't twist what a brother/sister has said here. Kelkat did not say satan got anything from man. Clarify with Kekat, but I think in your haste to rebuke, you read something into what was actually said. Go back and read again. It seems to me Kelkat is saying man's sin was what opened the door for satan to become ruler of this world (John 12:31,John 14:30,John 16:11,Eph 2:2,Eph 6:12,Col 1:13,1John 4:4, 1John 5:19) and under the authority of God who is all powerfull as Kelkat stated and you confirmed. Forgive me for butting in if I have mis-understood either of you here. In Christ Jesus, retxar |

Retxar Please believe me I have no interest in twisting anything. I just want to help people see the fallacy of this teaching. God allowed me to be exposed to this teaching and further to see the effects it has on people when they finally realize it has failed them. I'm familiar with the teaching and I'm familiar with the buss words. I wasn’t putting words into Kelkat’s mouth, what I debunked was exactly the teaching that Kelkat had heard and was based on that buss word “dominion”. They take that word and many others twist it to their meaning, they then reinforce it using scripture out of context putting it all together they devise the false theology they teach. This may not seem like much but when you put the whole teaching that goes with this together you paint a picture of a god that is puny, weak and generally not worthy to be worshipped. These individuals teach that after Satan tricked God and got dominion of earth, God tried a number of times to get control back. He almost had it with Abraham but Abraham let God down and Satan regained control. It wasn’t until Jesus managed to slip on to earth in the form of a baby that God was able to gain control. This is just a brief rundown the teaching is days long and gets much worst. I'm sure you can see the problem with this theology. |

OK. I was just going by what I saw. I know nothing about the other stuff you brought up. It just seemed to me that Kelkat was saying something different than what your post was addressing. I have never even heard of the teachings you are talking about. I don't know if you are talking about current beliefs or, as I have saw so many times, a 10 year plus statement someone has made in error, and later refuted. I think it would be wise to make sure what you are saying here is what is currently believed and taught. In Christ Jesus |

Rextar You either have excellent taste and are very selective or you never watch Christian TV. Believe me what we are talking about is flowing over the Airwaves as we speak. |

5 | Can we agree? | Hebrews | retxar | 17522
I question my taste and selectiveness by jumping in the middle of this thread! Man, it's hot in here! I don't watch much TV, period, but when I do, it is usually Christian, but I admit that's not a whole lot, so I'm not on top of the scene by any stretch of the imagination. I don't guess I'm tuned in on the same channel as you are talking about :-). I don't pay much attention to the antique news published about people who have been in the public eye for a while. If I did I would have to count all as heritics because ANYONE you can name who has done or is doing a work for the Lord, including you and I, could be on the list, if ANYONE so desired. There's plenty of dirt to go around! People even throw it on God's Word, so mere men and women are not immune! You do what God has called you to do, bro, but I think He is telling me to get out of here and get some air. Jesus Saves, fixes, mends, repairs, and restores! God bless, retxar |

Retxar Understand the content of how this started. A forum member asked if he should trust his pastor. Through discourse it was found the problem was much bigger and people were offering suggestions how he could restore basic trust to his life. That was when someone suggested he start watching a group of individuals. Within that list was the names of some individuals that are have some really lousy teaching. The question I was faced with was keep my mouth shut, or speak up and say you may not want to watch these people, or a third option address the suggested list and making known the suggested list left something to be desired. I took the later. Then everyone wanted to know what was wrong. I then tried without getting into a lot of detail to explain what was wrong. Then I was accused of possibly using old info, being a witch hunter, and etc. Now you have given this very pious “I’m above that”. Great! That makes me feel good! There are folks leaving Christianity in droves because they fell hook, line and sinker for some of the theology they were taught by these individuals. When the storms of life blow into their lives, and because they had built on sand everything they had was washed away. They walk away bewildered and stunned. Everything they held so dear fell apart. They don’t know what to, the only conclusion they come tom is that God left them down. God didn’t leave them down! This stinking theology they were taught by a group of individuals was what left them down. Retxar I’m not attacking you or your theology. Your right we are not to judge another man’s slave, to their master they will stand or fall. However I think we still have a responsibility to try to prevent others from being hurt by false teaching. |

7 | Can we agree? | Hebrews | Kelkat | 17932
Just for the record, people walk away from God for all sorts of reasons. You can't blame any one individual, any one thought, or any one teaching. The walk away is a personal choice, because is a personal God. I can't teach anyone how to have a relationship with God...that is God's job. All I can do is live each day for God. Kelkat |

Isn't it an interesting coincidence(?) that many of the people who "walk away from God" do so because of false teachers, false doctrine, deception, bad teaching, heresy or apostasy? Do you not see a direct cause/effect relatiohship between false doctrine and people walking away from God (whatever that means)? We have a duty as Christians to expose and rid ourselves of false prophets and false teachers about whom we are repeatedly and sternly warned in the New Testament. If one cannot recognize false teachers and false doctrine when they hear it, then they are without discernment in these matters. They had better spend their time learning what the Bible plainly teaches, instead of criticizing those who dare to warn others about the harm done by false doctrine. |

9 | What makes doctrine false? | Hebrews | Kelkat | 17950
What is the biblical basis for "exposing" false prophets, and "ridding" ourselves of false teachers? Are the teachers of wine in communion verses no wine also to be held to these standards? What exactly makes it "false"?
10 | What makes doctrine false? | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 17963
Kelkat, Deuteronomy 13 and Galatains 1:6-9 are two passages I think of right away. Wine/ No wine issue should be viewed as a minor issue, like meat offered to idols (1Co 8). Anything false, is not true ... that is something that is not Biblical. Remember the contexts. Steve |

Something you'd not die for: -The irrerancy of Scripture (2Ti 3:16) -God created the heavens and earth (Gen 1-2) -There is only one God (Deu 6:4). -This God is a triune God -- one God consisting of three distinct persons (Mat 28:19-20; Gen 1:1). -God is sovereign (Eze 12:28; Rev 17:14). -All men have sinned (Rom 3:23). -Jesus is literally the Son of God (Rom 1:1-4). -Jesus became fully human (Jhn 1:14). -Jesus was sinless (1Pe 2:21-22). -Jesus died for our sins (Rom 4:25). -Jesus rose again arose from the dead (1Co 15:12-24). -Salvation is a free gift (Eph 2:8-9). -Salavation requires admitting one's sin, believing Jesus is Lord and Savior and confessing with one's mouth (Act 3:19-20, Rom 10:9). -All men will be resurrected, both the righteous and the wicked (Act 24:15). -There is a real, literal Hell. It is a specific place, with eternal fire (Rev 20:14-15). -Christians will live with Hin forever |

Agreed. Now, what makes believing that God wants me to be healthy and prosperous a "false" doctrine, and not minor? Kelkat |

Greetings Kelkat! In one of your previous posts, you asked what makes doctrine false. My answer would be that a doctrine is false if it is unbibical. In this post, you asked why is the doctrine of health and prosperity false. If you are willing, why don't you lay out the Biblical basis for your believe. Then, we can look at the what the Bible says and see if this doctrine is Biblical or false! Besides, that way we don't have to talk about what someone else believes. We can directly deal with what the Bible says! :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
