Kelkat You said "God is the creator of all things. God created man and gave him dominion over the earth. Man sinned, and gave dominion to Satan. (don't get me wrong, God is all powerful. He can, at anytime, do what ever He will.) Jesus came earth, walked as a man with the Holy Spirit working through him." Where does it even hint that Satan got dominion of anything from man? God gave man dominion over the living creatures of earth (stay within context), have you ever noticed how all but the hungriest or injured of animals submit or yield to man? That is the dominion spoken of in Genesis. God owns the earth and all that is in it. Gen 13:17 Gen 14:19 Gen 31:9 Ex 9:29 Ex 13:2 Ex 13:12 Ex 19:5 Ex 22:30 Ex 34:19 Lev 25:23 Lev 27:26 Nu 18:6 Nu 18:12 Nu 33:53 De 10:14 Jos 6:2 Jos 6:19 Jos 6:24 1Ch 29:11 1Ch 29:14 Job 41:11 Ps 24:1 Ps 50:10 Ps 60:7 Ps 74:16 Ps 89:11 Ps 95:5 Ps 104:24 Ps 108:8 Ps 115:16 Je 27:5 Eze 29:3 Eze 29:9 Eze 29:20 Eze 36:5 Da 4:17 Joel 3:5 Hag 2:8 Mt 5:35 Mt 20:15 Mt 21:3 Mt 25:14 Lu 19:23 Lu 19:31 Ac 17:25 1Co 10:26 1Co 10:28 Satan can do nothing without permission from God. Read Job. Satan must report, apparently fairly regularly, to God and confess what he has been doing. Again read Job. Notice the way Satan answers when addressed by God, does that show you who is in control. Satan does not dominion of earth he has permission to do only what God allows him. This dominion teaching came from them and nothing in the Bible supports it. You are so use to hearing it you never questioned it. |

I do remember Copeland teaching that. It made such perfect sense, I believed it and preached it whenever I could. It was such a wonderful explanation to get someone to understand that wasn't a Christian. It is too bad it's not true but I bought it hook, line and sinker. There is so much I learned that has to be unlearned, it's really a shame. If that man said it, I believed it, esp. since he always said don't take my word for it, look it up yourself. But I guess anyone can twist scriptures to say about anything and make it look real. I have a friend who studies under that Murray guy who's very mixed up, but you can't tell her, she knows it all, quotes scriptue after scripture, but it's wrong. What you gonna do? At least when enough people that I trusted to be good Christians were poiunting out that I was in error, I decided maybe I better back up and find out, not everybody will do this. :( |

Scripture out of context is pretext and they are masters of it. | ||||||
