1 | When may a church compromise the Bible? | Hebrews | Jensen | 17104 | ||
Thank you for providing parts of the article that gives us ways to locate a new church. You have given me much to consider. Does your own church that you attend always, that is always, do as Jesus told us to do or does it make some compromises? Where may a church compromise and under what circumstances? I know that you are very busy but you seem to post many notes. Please, I do not want you to go to any great trouble but if you could recommend a book rather than a web site I would be forever in your debt. God Bless, Jensen |

Jensen, if I may be so bold, I would recommend you catching some of the televised broadcasts of Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Joyce Meyers, or James Kennedy. Or the radio shows of Focus on the Family. They are all great teachers, and motivators. With love, Kelkat |

Kelkat How in the world can you mention Focus on the Family and D. James Kennedy in the same sentence with those other names. Focus on the Family and D James Kennedy talk of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Creator of all, the Most High God, A Sovereign God, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, the God of Hebrews 11. The others talk of a god of their own making. A created god, An almost as high as us god, a god that panders to their will and whim. A god that wants earth perfect (healthy, wealthy and happy) for his followers so we can call this home, so they are no longer consider themselves aliens and pilgrims, they no longer look for a better place, but rather they consider this home and become home bodies. People who will pay no attention to Hebrews 11. |

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. All of the individuals I mentioned believe in God, the creator, and Jesus Christ, the Son and Savior. I am sorry if I upset you. But I respectfully disagree. Kelkat |

Kelkat you can and may disagree but unless you believe God as Jesus went to hell and allowed Satan and his demons to torment him, then you do not believe in the same god as these other individuals. Unless you believe God acts in much the same way as a parking valet waiting to run to answer your every beck and call, you do not believe in that same god as these individuals. Unless you believe God is approx. 9 feet tall and has a hand approx 10” across, you do not believe in the same god as these individuals. Unless you believe God tricked Satan and sneaked upon the earth through the birth of Jesus, you do not believe in the same god as this individuals. Unless you believe God lost control of the earth at Garden of Eden and did not regain it back until the death of Jesus, you do not believe in the same god as these individuals. If you do not believe God exists to make you healthy, wealthy and generally without problems, you do not believe in the same god as these individuals. If you do not believe God has to perform everything you speak in faith, you do not believe in the same god as these individuals. Yes you can and may disagree but then you don’t believe in A Sovereign, Almighty, Owns the Cattle on a Thousand Hills, Does What He Wants, Awesome God who is a spirit and must be worshipped in Spirit and Truth, you believe in the god of these individuals. Where did the information come from? The information and source were posted on this website a long time ago -- like yesterday. See below. Source: (http://www.equip.org/search/) I would recommend that you NOT watch or ... kalos Mon 09/24/01, 6:28pm Why not Joyce Meyer? See the following posting: "Did Jesus spend 3 days in hell? Answer Bible general kalos Mon 09/24/01, 7:51am." Word of faith movement In brief, the teachings of these men may be summarized as follows: God created man in “God’s class,” as “little gods,” with the potential to exercise the “God kind of faith” in calling things into existence and living in opportunity, however, man rebelled against God in the Garden and took upon himself Satan’s nature. To correct this situation, Jesus Christ became a man, died spiritually (thus taking upon Himself Satan’s nature), went to Hell, was “born again,” rose from the dead with God's nature again, and then sent the Holy Spirit so that the Incarnation could be duplicated in believers, thus fulfilling their calling to be little gods. Since we are called to experience this kind of life now, we should be successful in every area of our lives. To be in debt, then, or be sick, or (as is often taught) be left by one’s spouse, and not to have these problems go away by “claiming” God’s promises, shows a lack of faith.
