Joann, Acts 2:38-39 is not about speaking in tongues ... in fact if you read the context, the 3000 didn't speak in tongues. Only twice, Acts 10:44-46 and 19:5-6, of the ten conversion incidents, did the new believers speak in tongues You said "I believe God is praying a perfect prayer through me" ... Are you talking about Romans 8:26-27? If so, I see we pray through the Holy Spirit. He is praying our prayers. It is He who is groaning. 1 Cor 14:14 says your mind is unfruitful when you pray in a tongue. If I misunderstood your point, please clarify. Searcher |

Searcher, Yes I am talking about Romans 8:26-27 And you are right again. I did not say that properly. It is the Spirit praying through us. Wow, you have helped me to think about that in a better way. Now Searcher I went back to 1 Cor 14:14 and I was wondering what you think it means by your mind is unfruitful when praying in tongues? Thanks, joann

(NASB, emphasis added) AMPLIFIED Romans 8:26 So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. |

Roman 8:26 "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered .
