So, you are basically hanging your hat on 1 John 1:9. In light of the fact that Christ's sacrifice was accepted as payment in full, what is there left for Him to do? Is he supposed to die all over again? 1 John 1:9 is not a believers passage, it is describing our salvation experience. Don't you have to throw out a whole slew of other passages to cling to just that one? The Lords prayer does not apply, as you know, the cross is the dividing point of all things. | ||||||

Shabbat Shalom Dr. Steeno, I agree with brother stjohn, and am amazed that you would think that the cross renders the Lord's Prayer as non-applicable. Are you saying then, that if the cross is the dividing line of all things, that nothing in the gospels as written by Matthew, Mark, Luke or John are applicable prior to the point of the cross?
