Hank: In reading this note, and finding out about your son, was painful for me to read. I do not know what that would be like to lose a son. I have deep empathy for you and your wife. To be very honest, I hurt inside when I read about your sons death. My sincere sympathy is extended, evern though it was some time ago. Time does heal some wounds, byt we never forget. I am so sorry you both experienced such a tragic loss. I have NEVER heard any praise for anyone who was under the infulence of alochol! I know of nothing done worth while while drunk. This self inflicted drug has destroyed more than man could ever out build. The childhood and life of my wife suffered and was shamed by her dad all his life. That pain ended October 1997 when he finally died. What she endured, and how she had to learn to defend herself as a child, made it hard for her to trust and feel secure when we first got married. The pain will always be remembered! That is not the legecy I will leave for my family! I Know whom I have believed, and am persuaded He will keep me untill the day, He ends my days. My protection comes from walking and abiding with the Lord, not on my own. justme Thank you for sharing some of the burdens you endured, and live with from the past. God bless you and you wife. justme |

Greetings and thanks to you, justme, for your tender remarks about the loss of my son. Your heart is as big as the vast Ozark forest! In such a loss as this, the wounds do heal in time, but the scars remain and the void can never be completely filled I suppose. It is one of God's blessings that He in His ordination of the scheme of things in our lives has seen fit to let the sorrows fade and give way to the good memories of the loving and precious times my wife and I were privileged to share with our wonderful son. Many times in the wake of losing a son, and knowing at first hand how deep the sorrow of a loss of this magnitude is, I have reflected on how it surely must have broken the very heart of God the day His Son died upon that cruel Roman cross. And to think: all this because He loved sinners like you and me so much. So very much. --Hank | ||||||

Hank: You and your wife are most assuredly able to relate deeper meaning to the LORD Almighty sending His only Son to die for those He Loved so very much. I have heard it said if I was the only person the LORD Almighty would still of sent Jesus Christ to redeem me. I honestly can not comprehend such a loving LORD that give up His Son for the World, say nothing about a sinner like me. Thank you for the priviledge of sharing such tender wound. Your grief is felt, and my mind is unable to fully comprehend what else to say but to say I send a genuine Brother in Christ hugg. I am aware of several in the forum that are carring burdens that are almost beyond what I could endure. Some of have adult children who are living lives that are in fefiance of Christ. There are some with illness that may well take them home soon. There are families ready to split. This is a very stressfull time of year for many. There are many to remember in prayer. My list gets longer, and I know I could spend a day in prayer, just for those in real need of God's intervention. Believe it or not at one time it was hard to pray for even just a few minuets. Now there is never enought time and memory. Happy celebration of Jesus Christ Birth Hank, and all. justme |
