1 | Why should we pray to Mary? | 1 Tim 2:5 | LisaMarie | 26499
YIKES! Someone get the extinguisher! Joe is on FIRE with the Holy Spirit! I think you're confusing France with Spain there buddy. I know folks say those "romance" languages are all the same but in Spain we say Hola and in France they say 'aloh. (ok, it's not spelled like that but it sounds like that...) Though, both nationalities have been caught in those big poofy shirts which might lend to the confusion... As for the rest, I said I won't argue with you and I'm stickin to that. If you want to talk further, I'll be the one in the corner with the big red H stitched on my blazer. My 73 book bible in one hand and my Queen of Apostles Prayer book in the other. Hugs, Lisa |

2 | Why should we pray to Mary? | 1 Tim 2:5 | Reformer Joe | 26564
Lisa: Check my profile for my occupation. Mexico declared independence from Spain on September 16, 1810. There is no point in arguing with you over something that can be easily looked up in any encyclopedia. The alleged apparition of Mary in the 1530's had nothing to do with the Spaniards being driven out or having greater access to Mexico. Cortes and his guns saw to that in 1519-1521. Whether you argue with me or not is not the issue. I have provided a wealth of Scriptural support for rejecting Mary as an intermediary between us and God and Christ. If you choose to ignore it, that's between you and the God of truth. --Joe! |

Joe, You've done an exceptional job in making sure that our historical figures and times are correct on this Forum, starting with your posts way back on the Reformation, and then Martin Luther and now Mexico. Keep up the good work! Your Brother in Christ, Nolan |
