1 | Is THE SABBATH ON A SATURDAY | John 20:19 | "Here I am Lord" | 109129
I would like to ask what Biblical reason you give, b/c i would think that Jesus would command it to be changed b/c for Jesus to change a commandment is a Big thing. Also take a look at Isaiah 66:23 where we see that we will have the Sabbath on the new earth (Rev 21) We also can see the apostles keeping the Sabbath in scripture. By Jesus raising on sunday He even kept the Sabbath by His death by resting on it.
2 | Is THE SABBATH ON A SATURDAY | John 20:19 | Mommapbs | 109131
See Post 448 by Kalos. I gave my "thoughts" based upon John 20:19. I don't pretend to have all the answers. But from what I read in God's Word, I am persudaed that Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law for me (Romans 8:1-4) "One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind.He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord," Rom 14:5-6b. See also verse 10. Do you observe the Sabbath? Do you keep a kosher kitchen? What other Laws fo you follow? I suggest that if you don't follow them all, it doesn't make sense to just follow one. |

5 | Is THE SABBATH ON A SATURDAY | John 20:19 | "Here I am Lord" | 109335
The reason why I seek to follow the Law, it only only possible with God's constant help, is b/c it is commanded to us. Jesus tells us that "If you love me you will keep my commandments" John 14:15. The Sabbath commandment, the fourth, is found in Exodus 20:8-11, It is the only commandment that names God as our creator. It was given in creation, not at the time of Moses. The 4th commandment tells us to keep the Sabbath holy, to not work on it. To spend it with God. I can give details, you can look at the Bible study i put under one of these topics. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. I was ignorant at one time too, but i can not tell you how grateful I am that God showed me the light. "here i am Lord" |
